The casing is meticulously designed to not only withstand the explosion pressure generated internally by explosive gas mixtures but also to prevent any explosive products from escaping through the explosion-proof gap, ensuring the safety of the surrounding environment.
1. The flameproof enclosure is structurally fortified to endure the explosive pressure generated by any internal explosive mixture. Given the specific conditions of use and transportation requirements, it necessitates specialized regulations for the shell material of mine flameproof motor casings. Typically, these casings are crafted from cast steel or steel plate welded structures; however, handheld electric tools such as coal electric drills are permitted to use aluminum alloy casings with a magnesium content of less than 0.5%.
2. The flameproof joint surfaces are critical in preventing the transmission of explosive pressure and flames to the exterior of the motor. These joint surfaces are where the opposing surfaces of various parts of the flameproof enclosure meet. The minimum effective length, maximum clearance, and surface roughness of these joints are meticulously defined based on the motor's operating environment category and level. Common flameproof joint surfaces include: the interfaces between the casing and front and rear end covers, the end cover and bearing inner cover, the bearing inner cover shaft hole and the shaft, the junction box seat and junction box cover, and the junction box seat and casing, among others.
3. The flameproof joint surface between the motor shaft and the shaft hole is designed to prevent any friction under normal operating conditions, further ensuring safety and reliability.
